YouTube offers you quite a lot of flexible ways to customize your channel. For this, you need to first go to your channel page by accessing it from the menu hidden under your username on the top right corner. Here you will see different options.
Customizing begins at the themes and colors tab. For example, you can start by changing the background picture. It can be your personal photo or your company logo if you are doing it for your business. If you have the ‘Repeat background’ box ticked, your picture will be repeated to cover the whole background instead of just being used once.
Next thing you can do is to change the color scheme. There are several preset color themes like grey, blue, red, sunlight etc.
You can either choose one of them or create your own one. To do this, click the ‘new theme’ link and you will see one of the themes getting copied.
Now you can change the font that will be used and all the colors too. You can either use the color palette or use the html codes if you know them.
Next you can choose the modules you want in your channel. Now these are boxes that will contain the information of your friends or the channels you have subscribed.
In order to keep people focused on you and your channel, it is imperative not to put anything that can take them to another page. Especially the ones like other channels, subscribers and subscriptions should go away.
Keep the comments because it will allow more interaction between you and your channel subscribers.
Last and important one is the videos and playlist tab where you can define whether visitors will see your videos only or the ones you have in your favorites and also, whether they will see a grid view or player view.
