You see, the problem with the many twitter backgrounds is that they are made for specific resolution (mostly for 1280×1024) and when somebody turns it on a bigger monitor it looks really bad.

So to prevent this problem, we design repeated pictures background (no matter what is the computer's resolution - it will look good) and high resolution graphic backgrounds :)
